Greetings from Southwest Atlanta Christian Academy,
For many, any shift in education can appear to have major implications on the effectual learning of students who must adjust to changes in how they approach a traditional college preparatory curriculum. However, as we transition into a new phase of learning, it is a pleasure to continue sharing a curriculum impacted by the Word of God through digital media, and as a result, seeing an increased interest in the learning process. With such a positive impact, we believe that our transitions will continue to show marked progress.
While many are pleased with our transition, some are questioning the timing of our implementation into each grade. As I recently heard a quote from Henry Ford, “culture trumps strategy”, I began to remember that no matter what our plans, a culture of Christianity means that God does not operate according to our time line. We must trust that He is omniscient and, therefore, will produce fruit in His timing, and with the tools that He chooses to use. From Pre-school to 12th grade, we look forward to the continued strategic integration of digital media into all of levels of learning, and are confident that this current digital generation will adapt to means that engage and effectuate learning in a Christian academy.
Please pray for us as we embark upon this historic journey and as we continue “mixing faith with learning”.
Sincerely,
Geraldine G. Thompson
